Olga Mykytenko, soprano (Ukraine)
A winner of various international competitions, including the Grand Prix at the Maria Callas competition in Athens, the 1st Prize at the Queen Sonja Competition in Oslo and the 2nd prize at the Francisco Viñas competition in Barcelona, Olga Mykytenko has performed across the world in a vast and wide array of leading roles, including Violetta (La Traviata), Mimi (La Bohème), Amalia (Verdi's Masnadieri), Liù (Turandot), Gilda (Rigoletto), Tatjana (Yevgenij Onegin) and the title roles in Iolanta and Lucia di Lamermoor.
Olga Mykytenko has performed at New York's Metropolitan Opera, Munich's Bavarian State Opera, Vienna's Theater an der Wien, both the Staatsoper and the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Düsseldorf's Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Hamburg State Opera, Essen's Aalto Oper, the Savonlinna Opera Festival, the Norwegian Royal Opera, the Opéra of Walonie, Teatro Municipal de Santiago, Chile, Opera di Roma and St. Petersburg's Mariinsky Theater, amongst numerous other theaters. She has worked with prominent conductors such as James Levine, Kirill Petrenko, Neeme Järvi and stage directors Peter Stein, Emilio Sagi and Franco Zeffirelli, amongst many others. She also performs regularly in concert and in recital.
